In the heart of the cellars of the Ackerman House, the "Chapuisat Brothers", the fifth winners of the Ackerman-Fontevraud Residence and world-renowned contemporary artists known for their wooden constructions, have installed in April 2019 an impressive wooden structure on stilts over 5 metres high: The Lodge.
The monumental labyrinth-like work, built over two months (February and March 2019) in a totally empirical manner, without any horizontal or vertical aspect, required the use of 11m3 of wood, 10,000 screws just for the lodge, at the top... just a few centimetres from the ceiling of the Ackerman Caves.
"La Loge" is above all a work to be experienced. Thus, the visitor will be led to climb to the heart of the "Chapuisat Brothers" installation.
